Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract. CHOSEN is an invitation-based community for people seeking committed, conscious partnership. We may decline, pause or end a membership at our discretion, including where a member misrepresents who they are. You confirm your age when you create an account; accounts we find to belong to a minor are deleted immediately along with their data. CHOSEN is not available where its use would be unlawful, and you may not use it if you are barred from a dating platform under applicable law or have been convicted of a violent or sexual offence.

• Keep your login credentials private; you are responsible for activity on your account.
• One account per person. Accounts may not be shared, sold or transferred.
• The information you provide — name, age, location, photos, birth details, assessment answers — must be truthful and about you.
• You may download your data or permanently close your account at any time from Settings → Your Data & Rights.

Verification may include photo or selfie checks, voice prompts and human review. Verification helps reduce impersonation and fraud, but it is not a background check or a guarantee about any member's identity, intentions, relationship status or character. Always use your own judgment when meeting someone.

We currently verify members with a live pose selfie compared by a human reviewer, human profile review, and duplicate-account and fraud screening. We do not perform government-ID checks, facial-recognition matching, video verification, criminal background checks or sex-offender registry screening. Any such feature we add in future will be announced and, where it involves biometric data, will require your separate written consent.

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, stalk, defame or discriminate against another member.
• Post content that is sexually explicit, hateful, violent, illegal or belongs to someone else.
• Impersonate anyone, use another person's photos, or misstate your age or marital status.
• Solicit money, investments, gifts or crypto from members, or promote a business, service or other platform.
• Scrape, copy, resell or reverse-engineer the platform, its assessments, its scoring or its match data.
• Share another member's private information, photos, voice recordings or messages outside the platform.

Report concerns from any profile or thread. We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate an account for conduct that breaches these terms or endangers the community.

CHOSEN provides assessments, compatibility scoring, astrology-based insights, AI-generated coaching, weekly plans, journaling analysis and human matchmaking. These are tools for reflection and connection. They are informational and are not medical, psychological, financial or legal advice, and they are not a substitute for professional care. We do not promise a match, a relationship, a specific number of introductions or any particular outcome.

AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or simply wrong, and astrology content is provided for reflection and entertainment. Never rely on CHOSEN in an emergency or a mental-health crisis. If you are in danger or in crisis, contact local emergency services — see the Safety Centre for crisis resources.

Some features use third-party AI services to process the content you submit. Do not enter information you are not comfortable processing this way. See the Privacy Policy for detail and controls.

Paid tiers, renewals, cancellation and refunds are covered by our Billing & Refund Terms, which form part of these terms.

Attendance at CHOSEN mixers, workshops and retreats is subject to capacity, the event listing details and any additional rules stated at the event. You attend at your own risk and are responsible for your own travel, accommodation and behaviour. We may refuse entry or remove attendees for conduct reasons.

You keep ownership of the photos, recordings, writing and answers you upload. You grant CHOSEN a non-exclusive licence to host, store, display and process that content solely to operate the service for you — for example showing your profile to members you are matched with, generating your insights, and backing up data. We do not sell your content, and we do not use your private journal entries for marketing.

Take normal precautions: meet in public first, tell a friend where you are going, and never send money to someone you met online. CHOSEN is not responsible for the conduct of any member online or offline. Report suspicious behaviour to us and, where relevant, to local authorities. Read the Safety Centre before meeting anyone in person. CHOSEN does not conduct criminal background checks on members and makes no representation about any member's history or character.

We improve the platform continuously and may add, change or retire features. We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. If we make a material change to these terms, we will notify members by email or in the app before it takes effect.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CHOSEN is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for the acts of other members. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

You may cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account for a breach of these terms, for fraud or safety reasons, or where required by law. On termination, your profile is removed from discovery and your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. You and Eternal Flame Institute LLC agree that any dispute arising out of these terms or your use of CHOSEN will be brought exclusively in the state and federal courts located in Multnomah County, Oregon, and both parties consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing here prevents either party from seeking relief in a small claims court where the claim qualifies.
