CHOSEN uses a small number of cookies and browser storage entries. They exist to keep you signed in, remember your choices and protect the community — not to follow you around the internet.

1. What we use
- Strictly necessary — session and authentication tokens that keep you signed in and secure your requests. The platform cannot work without these.
- Preferences — small entries that remember things like your language, assessment progress and dismissed prompts so you do not repeat yourself.
- Security — signals used to detect duplicate or fraudulent accounts and abusive behaviour.
Analytics — optional, and only set if you choose "Accept all" in the cookie banner. They tell us which features are used so we can improve them. Choosing "Essential only" leaves them off and nothing about your experience changes.
We do not run advertising cookies, we do not sell data to ad networks, and we do not use cookies for cross-context behavioural advertising.
2. Third parties
Our hosting, database and authentication providers set the cookies and storage entries needed to deliver the service. Email links may include a token that identifies the message so unsubscribe and event actions work.
3. Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will sign you out and prevent core features — messaging, assessments and matches — from working.
To change your analytics choice, clear this site's data in your browser and the CHOSEN cookie banner will appear again on your next visit, or email privacy@choosehigherlove.com and we will record your preference.
